Wedding Dance
Hello
Are you getting married soon and would like
Is it possible that one of you has the following?
Yeeees, you've definitely come to the right place, as we are absolute world champions thanks to our flexibility. You heard right: We can be there for you on 333 days between 06:00 - 23:00.
1) But how much does your wedding dance cost?
As we have been offering private lessons as well as lump sums since 1986, there is something for every budget. Don't worry, we also have 30 year old dance teachers. We only have Charly Keller from a time when there were no cell phones and women were not allowed to vote. That's right, we're talking about the founder of the idance dance school:-) who, you'd hardly believe it, still takes part in Swiss championships and in the last two years has even been Swiss champion in merengue twice and Dance Cup Austria winner in salsa and discofox (disco swing).
a) What do we mean by private lessons?
You pay for each lesson individually. Discussions, adjustments, shortening songs, changing or adjusting the tempo as well as recording what you have learned with both of you so that you can practise at home will be looked at during the private lesson. Further details such as costs can be found here.
b) Flat rates are for
those who want to have their expenses under control.
In the all-inclusive price (fixed price without ifs and buts) you get the following:
But I can tell you how much your wedding dance will cost after a conversation on site, on the phone or via info@idance.ch. Provided we get the answers from point 1.1 to 1.11.
This is non-binding.
1.1) At your place?
Would you like us to come to your apartment or house, workplace or similar?
1.2) At our place?
Is it more convenient to come to us in Hausen AG, Zweisimmen, Cazis or Chur?
1.3) Other locations?
Or should we come to Cham, Biel, Bern or St. Gallen for a small surcharge? We can rent rooms in these locations.
1.4) Who can dance?
An important point for a non-binding offer are the following 3 questions (to best answer this question, I have included some videos with four different dances at the bottom of this page:
a) Can any of you already dance as well as the dancing couple in the video?
b) Can any of you dance better than the couple in the video?
c) Or is one of you not yet as good?
1.5) Select songs
Have you already chosen one or more songs at random (please send us the YouTube link) or do you not yet know which song or style of music you would like to dance to? If you don't know which song but which dance style (waltz, disco, salsa etc.), then this information will help us a lot. Some songs are listed here at the end as a mnemonic. Maybe that will help you:-)
1.6) Which wedding dress?
For us as choreographers, it is important to know what kind of wedding dress and shoes the bride is wearing. Because dancing to a Dirty Dancing with an 8 meter train or Rock^n^Roll song would be a very big challenge:-)
1.7) Size of the dance floor
How long and wide is your dance floor? And is it level or a few centimeters from the floor?
1.8) Floor texture
What material is the dance floor made of? This is another point that too few couples pay attention to, as dancing on carpet, laminate, stone, grass, sand, pebbles, water or old floorboards is a great challenge.
1.9) Venue
Do you already know where you want to get married? Here are some examples: Castle, palace, stable, by the sea, restaurant, lighthouse, at your ex's or something...
1.10) You already know which choreography you like
If you are a couple who have already seen a casual choreography on Youtube, TikTok or on this page at the very end that you really like (or parts of it), please send us a link so that we can get an insight into what you have in mind.
1.11) Non-binding meeting
After almost 30 years, I'll give you the best tip there is for wedding couples:
Get in touch regarding the dance as early as possible.
Not only because you will get a lot of tips at our first meeting, but also because about 90 percent of the couples would have had more time to practice, regardless of whether the couple had already contacted us months or even a year before.
The 1st meeting is not only about points 1.1 - 1.11, but also about the idea of what your dance, your choreography could look like. We also briefly look at the possible cutting and mixing of the music as well as the tempo and pitch of the music, which may need to be adjusted! Depending on the effort required to prepare the music (cutting, shortening, adjusting the speed, etc.), a lump sum of CHF 70 would be added, including music handover.
2) We meet
After we have received the answers to the above questions, we can make an appointment via info@idance.ch or 076 415 52 52. If you still have questions, we can discuss them together and look at 2 - 3 figures so that we can give you an offer with the price and the number of lessons you need at the end of the meeting. However, this is only possible if you can take your future partner with you :-)
Of course this is free of charge and does not commit you to anything. This usually takes 50 minutes.
3) STOP!
Before you say we are too far away. We can teach 2 - 3 lessons per meeting. This will help you to memorize what you have learned and save you the weekly travel time to a dance school. But if you have an area of approx. 3 x 1.5 meters, we can also come to you.
Attention:
If your travel time to Hausen AG takes more than 45 minutes, we will accommodate you PRICELY
4) Can we dance?
5) You don't know yet what kind of choreography you would like?
No problem. We have already taught over 1000 dance couples. The uniqueness of the choreography was and is important to us. At the end of this page you will find a small selection of choreographies. Have a look at them and who knows, maybe you will find something you like.
